"Peter did a fantastic job on a 'shell' shaped chair that he upholstered for us. When I showed him a black and white digital photo of the chair, which is circa 1950, I was surprised to hear him say “Is it rose colored?” When I asked how he knew, he stated that most similarly styled chairs from that era were rose toned. His knowledge really helped to confirm my ideas about what new fabric to choose. I decided upon a fabric that was as close as possible in color to the original, in order to preserve the character of the piece. Additionally, Peter was able to salvage enough of the original material to make a complementary pillow!"

"I’ve had three other chairs upholstered over the years by different people, and was disappointed to find in two of the cases that the material was not always cut exactly on the grain. This causes the pattern of the weave to be askew. The material on the shell shaped chair is cut and fitted exactly right. This was no small feat, as the back of the chair is made up of 18 separate panels. Peter’s expertise, attention to detail and craftsmanship are apparent everywhere on our 'new' chair."
